CosyWall Insulation

CosyWall Insulation (CWI) is a full extemal wall cavity insulation system (EWCIS) for providing thermal and acoustical insulation to wall cavities lined on both sides.

After installing AIRFOAM for 6 years, in 2013 we changed to Cosy Wall Insulation for existing walls. CosyWall insulation is manufactured in selected North American plants by melting and spinning a blend of inert, natural minerals. It is the only formaldehyde free, non-combustible, water repellent, durable dry-blown wall insulation with a trouble free history since 2002 of insulating New Zealand external wall cavities under the brand name Qmulus BIB.

CosyWall insulation is a multi-purpose product designed to provide effective thermal and acoustical insulation for existing water tight external timber framed wall cavities, fibre cement, plywood or sealed masonary veneer claddings. In addition Cosy Wall insulation can be used to insulate new walls or provide acoustical insulation on internal walls.

Earthwool® glasswool

Earthwool glasswool is manufactured by Knauf Insulation, using recycled glass bottles and with ECOSE® Technology, the brown glasswool comes in blankets and segments.

Earthwool glasswool contains no added formaldehyde. It offers excellent long term thermal and acoustic insulation at a competitive price to similar quality materials.

Earthwool glasswool underfloor insulation is made using recycled glass bonded by ECOSE Technology, a revolutionary binder based on rapidly renewable materials instead of petro-based chemicals. ECOSE Technology reduces binder embodied energy compared to Knauf Insulation’s traditional glasswool and contains no added phenol, formaldehyde, acrylics or artificial colours.

Earthwool glasswool underfloor insulation provides a cost-effective thermal and acoustical barrier for energy-efficient construction. The consistent quality, low dust, and clean-cutting resilient glasswool makes installation fast. Earthwool glasswool insulation can be used in timber and metal frame applications in residential structures. These applications include thermal and acoustical treatments to floors. Knauf Insulation offers Earthwool glasswool wall insulation in a range of sizes.
